A vibrant new community in DC’s ballpark district

The Yards is one of southeast Washington, DC’s most ambitious new developments, set in the riverfront neighborhood near Nationals Park. Designed by Shalom Baranes Associates for Forest City Washington, the community will feature a large waterfront park along with high-end office, residential, and retail space and above- and below-grade parking. The residences will include a 225-unit building at 1212 4th Street, which will include a Harris Teeter grocery store and a Sports Club as part of the 110,000 square feet of street-level retail. The building is designed to LEED^®-Silver certification standards with high-efficiency HVAC and lighting systems and low-flow plumbing fixtures.
