A transit-oriented development designed to revitalize an aging community

Fort Totten Square is a mixed use community being developed by the JBG Companies that will feature 350 apartments and 130,000 square feet of retail anchored by Washington DC’s first Wal-Mart. Located a quarter mile from the Fort Totten Metro station, the 826,000-square-foot development will help address the neighborhood’s current need for more retail and affordable housing, and create a new community hub that will define and enliven the neighborhood. The project is targeting LEED®-Gold certification and has been carefully designed by Hickok Cole Architects to reflect the current character of the urban neighborhood.
