A build-to-suit, LEED®-Gold renovation for a new headquarters

NAIOP MD/DC – Award of Excellence Best Urban Construction
USGBC NCR – New Urban Construction Honorable Mention

The renovation of 1777 F Street involved all new mechanical/electrical and plumbing systems for an eight-story building set on two levels below grade. The building was completely redesigned by Mancini Duffy to accommodate the Council on Foreign Relations’ administrative requirements and public outreach mission. Facilities include two full floors of conference and broadcast studio space with sophisticated audio-visual, lighting, acoustical, and technology features. Sustainable highlights include a roof-mounted central HVAC system, advanced lighting controls, a cistern, and water-conserving fixtures.
